[ICS] Vehicle Loading Solution: New Version Now Available

We are pleased to announce the release of a new version of [ICS] Vehicle Loading Solution for D365, our Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management add-on for vehicle loading optimization. The solution helps companies load vehicles in the most efficient way and keep loading error-free. The updated version is available on Microsoft Marketplace.

Since publishing this Microsoft D365 add-on, we have continued to develop it with a focus on traceability, flexibility and convenience for the people who plan and perform loading every day. Here is what is new.

Truck loading history: full traceability of every loading queue

Loading is a process with many steps and many participants, and when a question arises, it is important to know exactly what happened and when. The new Truck loading history form gives you the full picture of a generated loading queue, from the moment it was calculated to the moment the shipment was handed over to the customer. This simplifies audits and helps resolve loading-related questions faster.

Loading and Unloading lists in Electronic Reporting

The Loading list and Unloading list are now available as Electronic Reporting (ER) formats, in addition to the existing SSRS versions. This means you can adapt the layout of these documents to your own requirements using standard D365 tools.

Extended Route placement method for loading queue optimization

Loading queue optimization with the Route placement method has been extended to support closer integration with the ICS Transportation Package, so that route planning and vehicle loading work together more smoothly.

Truck load planning in D365 SCM: a simpler way to generate loading queues

The «Set packing queue» function has been removed from the user interface. Everything it did is covered by the Truck load planning form, which offers extended and more convenient functionality for building and managing loading queues in D365 SCM.

Usability improvements

Alongside the new features, we made a number of improvements to daily work with the solution:

• Clearer display of errors and colors on the Truck load planning form
• Updated labels for axle load calculation on the Load and Truck load planning forms
• Improved Container history, with better container display and change tracking
• Truck parameters form that shows only the fields relevant to the selected truck type
• Improved display of refusal containers on Container loading form when “Show loaded” is activated
• Better display of the number of containers per shipment in the ICS Unloading menu item of the WMS mobile app

[ICS] Vehicle Loading Solution is warehouse loading software that combines mathematical loading methods with configurable loading constraints to generate optimized loading queues. It lets you compare strategies (Back, Top, Side), run axle load calculation before loading begins, visualize the queue in 3D and control the loading process on the warehouse floor through the mobile app, which verifies that the right pallets are loaded in the right order.
